Google 2006 and Jagger’s Aftermath

Beginning this past fall (2005) Google has released a major upgrade of its search algorithm which shook optimization search engine (SEO) community and millions of website rankings. The update has been named Jagger and apparently more.

The keywords that people use to find your site with Google may not be making many more visits, because the Jagger changes caused your rankings to plummet. Of course, many people have seen their rankings accordingly maintained or improved as Jagger.

If your ranking dropped, what can be done to return to where you were or better in the world after Google Jagger?

There are still many questions to be sure, but there are some good beginnings of answers too. Since this update has been rolled over for months and in three distinct phases, has been much more difficult to determine which factors have more weight or less.

For example, IBL (inbound links to your site) have always been important to achieve the higher ranks on Google. But there are many types of IBL. Link between trade, which has my link on your site and put the link to my site may be worth less than a two-way relationship.

This was the case for some time, but it is the importance of each changed since Jagger? Probably. I do not know all the answers, and I think nobody knows all the answers to save people in the complex "(short for Google-Plex).

What are some theories? Here are some of the best, but I'm not saying they are necessarily true or false. And this is not a complete list, there are probably many factors that affect Google rankings after Jagger admitted that no one at all times.

The following list contains ideas that I read online, they spend hours each day to do, or some of our own hard-won observations using the large number of client sites in various industries to learn.

Read with a grain of salt, which is always a good idea to read an article or forum posts about SEO or Jagger.

*** Things that could help more of you in Aftermath Jagger ***

? Aged Domains – domain sites that are now better age – over the domain name, the highest ranking, all things being equal. (This is probably true to some extent). ? Very Relevant Links – IBL (inbound links) and OBL (outbound) relevancy is more important after Jagger. This means that if you point to related sites and get links from other sites that are linked to your website, could understand better after Jagger with all things being equal. (This is probably true to some extent as well). ? Links to help sites that you trust – TrustRank (or similar) is more important than ever after Jagger. TrustRank is a concept that says if you get a link to your site that is very reliable by Google (trusted either programmatically or by human editors), then you will rank better with all things being equal. (See http://www. VLDB. Org/conf/2004/RS15P3. PDF). ? Variety of links – Links. Y. EDU org sites are good to increase their rating and are more important than ever. (It is extremely important to get links form a wide variety of Web sites. Just as your investment needs to diversify its IBL? S. (This was true, probably even before Jagger).? Live links – Oldest the link is pointing to your site, which gave more weight today. (This was probably true before Jagger).? embedded links – links that are embedded in sentences and paragraphs instead of links independents are weighted more heavily now. (This may be true soon if not already).? Article Links – Articles directories are what has been a year or two years to build the link. online links of the author or the article pointing to your site will have a positive impact on their classification.? Fresh & Unique content – Now more than ever, regularly updated and added content to help ordinal ranking. (This is almost certainly true.) ? be a big guy – If you're a big giant site like Wikipedia, Yahoo, AOL, eBay, Amazon, etc., will rank better than before Jagger.? high traffic and membership – the user popularity statistics now, or will soon have an impact on the rankings. In other words, the actions of users on your website, such as length of stay (stickiness), number of pages you visit, and even how many people visit your site in a given period, may affect how Google ranks your site. (This may be true soon if not already).

*** Things that might not Help You Anymore, or you may hurt more in Aftermath Jagger ***

? Duplicate content – any type of duplicate content can harm your rankings. Some say it refers to other sites with the same content that you and others say duplicate, same content on your site can be bad. I found the latter hard to believe since all schools have repeating slogans, phrases, payment instructions, or any number of other sentences has doubled in one place. (Http: / / www use. Copyscape. Com / to find people who steal your original content written and published on its website). ? Hidden text – Hidden text in your HTML code, div tags, CSS, or comments, may affect their classification. (This is something you should never do). ? Footer? Some say that the links in the footer takes into account now. (This is one that we found no evidence of). ? Links Directory – Directory of links are weighted less now. (This is one that we found no evidence, but is more probably true, or will soon)? Decreased construction of Link – The speed and volume of building inbound links to your site from other sites, if changed, can affect your score anymore. (This is probably also true). ? Reciprocal links – reciprocal link trade is worth less than nothing before or not is not now. (It? S probably true that they are at least worth less now). ? Bad links to bad neighborhoods Barrios – reciprocal links hurt your ranking offices when linking to sites that are considered "by Google, such as link farms or sites that are banned by Google. (This is probably true and has been for a while). ? Link schemes – Participating in link schemes such as cooperatives or Link Vault can hurt your ranking more than help. (I have found no evidence to date for my client sites, but this could be true).

Again, do not think anyone outside Google knows which of these factors mentioned above are true or false, and how each affects your ranking particular key phrase. In fact, it's the idea. Google does not want his people play "system. There are so many variables to take into account that it is very difficult to know what affects what.

*** So what will you do if your ranking has fallen since Jagger? ***

If your site was ranking well (SERP Google search engine ranking position) before Jagger, and was impossible to find right after Jagger success, and now his site has not yet been recovered, then probably triggered a filter, penalized or banned.

You may have duplicate content on another site, or someone who has copied much of its contents, or you may have canonical problem (dónde. yourSite com and www. YourSite. Com considers two different sites in the Google results that look like duplicate content).

You May hidden text, keyword, or filled their pages or any number of other things. You? 'll Certainly need more knowledge than this article can give back to their classification.

Some say that the latest Google took place earlier in the season, and many sites that fell after the first year. I don? I know that if this is true, we'll have to wait and see. For those who have still not been solved, this may be good to know.

Interestingly, most sites of our customers has remained stable or improved after Jagger. Our own society and improved website. But unfortunately some of our other clients saw declines in their rankings right after Jagger, and have since recovered, but not above these levels Jagger. That's what I did for them:

? Washed your site for bad outgoing links and made sure that each site that was linked to and indexed by Google is not Google's game. All questionable ties were immediately removed. But we do not get rid of any link partners simply slaughtered. ? Studied the relationship between different types of inbound links to determine where improvements are needed. In other words, we determined the percentage of links to your site as link between trade, a form of links to related sites, one of the independent media sites, advertisements, directory links, or links, Links in forum signatures and more. Were then encouraged to increase their input inbound links that are embedded in sentences, and not focus as much on operations and links to cease receiving a link developing totally independent. ? Cleaned up the HTML in each page, make sure all tags are closed and no alien code on any page. And we have CSS and JavaScript? S in separate files. ? Carried hidden text unintentionally. A client had keywords in the HTML comment tags that we removed. ? The decrease page size by removing the old ties and superfluous verbiage, and re-optimization. gif y. jpg. ? He wrote much more succinct description of Meta and discussion page. ? We ensure that each title tag of each page was different. ? Trained on the importance of continued good development, quality, original content. ? Brainstorming how their sites could attract other webmasters link to them by offering your site or content quality, free tools on the web, articles and more. This is called natural linking and what Google regards the only legitimate way to build links. Therefore, it is vital.

We tried to look at the overall strategy to link development, the value of your site and site quality, both quality of content and quality of HTML.

A clean, simple, fast loading site with natural links pointing to it from a variety of related sites, some. y. org education, other sites of trusted authority, and many small websites, which adds fresh, unique content daily, well positioned on Google over time and will not be affected by the updates, including Jagger.

The best way for you to learn what to do after Jagger is to read articles like this, participate in forums discussing these issues and, above all, to experiment with their own sites to see what work. It takes time and patience. Creating quality sites that have things to offer and then get natural links. But all worth it.
