seo is all about technique you use to optimize your website..if you want to become a seo specialist so its not necessary to speak or have good english knowledge.. all you want is basic english.. hope you got your answer. as well as em a also not a good english language speaker
If you want to be a good seo you need to have very good seo tools in your arsenal and these must be paid tools. Free seo tools are not enough. Those paid tools could be for keyword tools, submission tools and automation tools. There is a lot of work need to be done regarding seo so automation tools are very much needed.
English is not that important compare to seo technique. Anyway if you have good english the marketing part is going to be a big more easier. English is the most used language online. If you want more client you have to find ways to improve it.

in seo you have to read lots of blogs, or SEo related site its is impotent you have to read English. & also 85 % of web site in English. u have to learn English
Will you be interacting with clients in person or on the phone? Will you be article writing or blogging? Will you be selling SEO services to potential clients?
All of these things require good language skills.
Well as far as SEO is concern you can win this part of the game but being Good as you said i think you should have my communicative (English) skills but don’t worry, i am an SEO and even i am not very Good at English.
i would say go for it as far as english is concern you will gonna learn with the time its piece of a cake
I beleive you need great english, or at lease you need some who can do the content management for you.
English skills are very important for doing SEO on English language sites. You need to be able to communicate in a way that is easy to understand for robots and search engine crawlers, but is also effective to a human reader. I think a good SEO should be part writer and part programmer.
